A zoology graduate has been chosen as Suffolk's new hedgehog officer after beating off competition from 150 other applicants. Ali North landed the coveted role with Suffolk Wildlife Trust and said it's a "really exciting opportunity". She told 5 live Breakfast's Nicky Campbell that a big part of her role will be working closely with volunteers to help prevent the declining population of hedgehogs. She advised people to cut "hedgehog sized holes" in fences to enable hedgehogs to move around gardens more easily, as well as well as preventing keeping your garden "mega tidy".
