Gabon’s capital, Libreville, has seen a spate of violence since the announcement of the country’s presidential election results. With a reported 49.8% of the vote, the incumbent President Ali Bongo was declared the winner. Opposition candidate, Jean Ping, has disputed the results and called for a recount.
