Spectacular new images of Jupiter’s north and south poles have been released by NASA. The never-before-seen images were acquired from its Juno probe, which went into orbit in July. It captured pictures of swirling clouds on the gas giant in more detail than any probe has done before. Dr Jonathan Nichols is a Space Physicist at Leicester University and a member of the Juno mission's science team and he said the images were “the best thing I’ve ever seen.” “I’m most interested in the image of the auroras, the detail is just incredible. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that image” he told 5 live’s Eleanor Oldroyd. This clip is originally from 5 lives’ Saturday Breakfast on 3 September 2016.
