Sunken ship found 168 years after doomed voyage

Newsday

Available for over a year

HMS Terror, the long-lost wreck of the British polar explorer Sir John Franklin, has been found in pristine condition at the bottom of an Arctic bay. It's a discovery that challenges the accepted history behind one of polar exploration's deepest mysteries. One of the researchers on the project is Adrian Schimnowski of the Arctic Research Foundation. He told Lawrence Pollard what they saw at the shipwreck.
