Take some flour, sugar, cream and eggs, throw in some contestants and big personality presenters, and you have a recipe for a hit show in The Great British Bake Off. So much so that the 麻豆社 has now been outbid in its efforts to keep the show on its network for the next few seasons. Instead rival Channel 4 has signed a three-year deal with Love Productions which makes the programme. It's understood the 麻豆社 offered 拢15m to keep the show, but the TV production company wanted 拢25m. It's caused a big stir on social media, with many fans saying Bake Off should stay on the 麻豆社. But Gill Hind, media analyst from Enders Analysis, told Susannah Streeter it means the 麻豆社 can invest in finding new formats. (Picture: A scene from The Great British Bake Off.
