NHS doctors in England are to be made to declare their income from private work, under plans to boost transparency and avoid conflicts of interest. James Ball is a consultant opthalmologist who does NHS and private work. He works for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Optegra Eye Hospital Yorkshire.
