Margaret Price, who won 5 golds in the 1980 Paralympics in Netherlands, has told 鶹 Radio 5 live that sponsors avoided her because “people might think that using our goods can make you disabled”. Margaret was the victim of a hit and run in 1973 which left her completely paralysed from arms down and partially from the neck. She went on to compete in the 1980 Paralympics in Arnhem, winning 5 gold medals, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes. She also became the first woman to win gold medals in two different sports at the same Paralympics. She was talking to Adrian Chiles as Para GB returned to the UK following a successful Paralympics in Rio. Great Britain overall came second in the tables with 64 gold medals, 39 silver medals and 44 bronze medals. This clip was taken from 5 live Daily on 20th September 2016.
