A company is claiming great success in tests of a new chemical weapon to stop the spread of rats. It stops the female rat producing eggs and makes the male infertile. Loretta Mayer, who is Chief Executive Officer of SenesTech, hopes it could dramatically reduce rat populations, without killing any of them. One female rat can deliver up to 15,000 babies in one year.
