An inch-long hornet that kills honey bees has been spotted in Britain for the first time. The Asian hornet was found near Tetbury, Gloucestershire, and work is now underway to find and destroy its nests. Tim Lovett, from the British Beekeepers Association, told 5 live Drive the hornet has “been making its way up through France.” “They can massively disrupt a hive and cause real problems”.
