The former chairman and owner of Crystal Palace, Simon Jordan, has told 麻豆社 5 live's Emma Barnett he doesn't see an issue with third party ownership of players. The practice of a player giving up some of their economic rights to a third party was compared to modern-day slavery when it was banned by FIFA in 2015. But speaking on 5 live Daily, Simon Jordan, who was owner at Selhurst Park till 2010, said: "If a player wants to sign away an element of his economic rights to a third party, I really don't see the issue with it." The issue of third party ownership has been raised by newspaper allegations that let to Sam Allardyce's resignation as England manager, over claims he offered advice to undercover reporters on how to get around the current ban.
