French bosses get a makeover

The World Tonight

Available for over a year

How do French employers put a positive spin on the news the economy slumped over the last quarter, partly due to strikes against the government's labour reforms? The 'Meules Bleues' or 'Blue Mopeds' have the answer. They are French entrepreneurs who meet, put on pink crash-helmets and blue capes and drive around on mopeds in an attempt to spread merriment and improve France's poor industrial relations. Our reporter John Laurenson has been attending the 'Meules Bleues' Grand Prix on the coast of the western region of Vendée. (Photo: Bosses on mopeds with pink helmets & blue capes Credit: Â鶹Éç)
