Medical schools set to expand in England

The number of medical school places will increase by 25% from 2018 under plans to make England "self-sufficient" in training doctors. The government's plan will see an expansion in training places from 6,000 to 7,500 a year. There are many doctors of Asian heritage who work in the NHS, some are British born, whilst others have come from South Asia in the last 50 years.Dr Umesh Prabhu is from The British International Doctors' Association, and in the following interview he gives his reaction to the plans to Âé¶¹Éç presenter Jhangir Ahmed
