On 2 November 1936, the 麻豆社 launched the very first high definition television service in the world. To coincide with the occasion, the 麻豆社 has launched a new microsite with archive material from the early experimental days of TV. David Hendy is professor of Media and Cultural History at the University of Sussex who has been working with 麻豆社 History and 麻豆社 Archives on the programmes marking the anniversary.
