What’s a fair price to pay when nature calls? For travellers in London, it could be nothing at all - Network Rail has scrapped the charge for its public toilets at Victoria and Charing Cross. This comes after figures show that in the last nine years, passengers collectively paid £6.4m to use Victoria station’s toilets alone. Commuters at Victoria usually have pay 50p to use the facilities. Network Rail says the move will help to improve customer relations. Raymond Martin, from the British Toilet Association, told 5 live “toilets are a massively important thing - if you can’t get relief, it ruins your day.” He said: “when you find a good toilet, you’ll go back to it time and time again, you’ll take your family and friends - it pays to have good toilets.” This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Saturday 10 December 2016.
