As many as a quarter of all sufferers of eating disorders are male, according to the charity Beat. Simon Rickard is 42. He used to weigh 23 stone (146 kilograms), but now has dropped to just 8 stone (50 kilograms). While finding an inpatient bed in a specialist unit is already difficult because of shortages, Simon says finding one for a man is even harder. (Photo: Simon Rickard.
