Concern over free speech in Myanmar

The number of people charged or jailed for allegedly defaming the Myanmar government has soared in recent months. At least 38 people have been charged with online defamation in the last 9 months under Article 66D of the Telecommunications law, created by the previous military backed administration. Zarchi Oo is program manager with PEN Myanmar, which promotes literature and freedom of expression. She explains what it is that has her worried.
