UKIP's Douglas Carswell has said Prime Minister Theresa May's approach could "win over some of the remainers". The MP for Clacton-on-Sea told 5 live's Nihal Arthanayake the Prime Minister's speech was a quite "liberal, pragmatic, sensible" approach to Brexit and he could not find "anything wrong with it". Asked if he would consider rejoining the Conservative Party after hearing Mrs May鈥檚 speech, Mr Carswell said: 鈥淚f my party with one MP in the House of Commons can get the system to change its mind and see sense on the Europe question, think of all the other things that we could change.鈥 This clip is from 5 live Afternoon Edition on 17 January 2017.
