Head of NHS England says Budget cash will "kickstart a turnaround" in A&E performance

Latest figures for Accident and Emergency departments in England show that January saw the worst performance since the introduction of a four hour target in 2010. Just over eighty-five percent of patients were admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours. The target is ninety-five percent. The head of the NHS in England, Simon Stevens, tells MPs that money announced in the Budget will be used to "kickstart a turnaround in performance". Rachel Byrne reports.
