Whether it’s halal, kosher or vegetarian, many people have dietary restrictions. But have you ever considered what’s in the tablets you take? Some drugs are wasted by the NHS when patients return them because they contain animal products. Information about the composition of drugs is available to doctors, but pharmacist Hira Aslam from Northumberland who’s Muslim says GPs need more help, so she’s setting up her own website for them.
