African club culture comes to Beirut

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

The Lebanese capital, Beirut, is known for its nightlife, but clubs that play African music are rare. Recently, a group of Nigerian-Lebanese students decided to change this. Sunniva Rose reports on how every month, they organise parties called Lasgidi, the fond nickname for Lagos, to provide a rare space in Lebanon for African culture to be celebrated.
