'Let them talk' - Dorset children's counsellor says

Steve Harris

Available for over a year

Alison Moore, a counsellor from Blandford, tells Breakfast in Dorset how adults can help children deal with the news. The chances are that waking up in Dorset on Tuesday to the news of the terrorist attack in Manchester, it isn't the first time that you'd heard news like this. You've lived through IRA attacks in this country, 9/11, 7/7 and other dreadful events. You've watched nightly news and, somewhat building up resilience to news of incidents like this. But the attack in Manchester was the most deadly in 12 years - and for many children and young people it will have been the first large-scale attack they've been aware of in this country.
