Available for over a year
Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith, has responded to the Chancellor's Mansion House speech by suggesting use of the term 'interim measures' rather than 'transitional' as a better description of future arrangements post Brexit. The former work and pensions secretary, who was a leading Brexiteer, told Radio 4's World at One that "as you reach an agreement within the two year period, you'll need to have interim arrangements until you get to the final point of what you've agreed". He said it would be only a short period, but stressed "we would want to make sure... that we were able to continue trading. And after all there shouldn't be an issue about this..."
