In 2007, the band Radiohead released their album In Rainbows on a pay-what-you-like-to-own-it basis. Plenty of fans did download it for free, but enough paid to make it a big success. Ten years on, honesty boxes aren鈥檛 doing so well apparently. In Scotland, farmers are replacing them with metal vending machines, and in Dartmoor, they鈥檝e swapped a parking honesty box for a pay and display machine. Has the pay-what-you-think-it鈥檚-worth model had it鈥檚 day? Jo Meek has been investigating. First broadcast on You & Yours, 23 June 2017.
