Hopkinsville becomes 'Eclipseville' to cash in on August's eclipse. The US will soon experience a total solar eclipse and Hopkinsville, in rural west Kentucky, will be the best place to view it. The darkness will last for over two and a half minutes, and the town's population of 32,000 is predicted to more than double on 21st of August. The Casey Jones Distillery, based in the town, has invested heavily in the production of its moonshine drink for the event. The firm is run by the founder's grandson, AJ, and his wife Peg Hays - known as the 'Countess of the Eclipse', who tell us of their excitement at the upcoming spectacle.
