Phone security: 'Industry needs government push'

PM

Available for over a year

An independent advisor on crime says the mobile phone industry needs to be compelled by law to make handsets less attractive to thieves. Tom Gash, author of Criminal: The Truth About Why People Do Bad Things, tells Radio 4's PM programme that "the industry will take some action itself but it won't do much without a very strong push from government, from insurers and from consumers themselves".
