Norwich was the first city in the UK to ban cars from parts of the city centre 鈥 that was 50 years ago. They pedestrianised London Street in Norwich because its old and narrow and the planners wanted to protect pedestrians from cars and to reduce pollution. There鈥檚 a fresh interest in keeping cars out of cities now for all the same reasons. Winifred Robinson talks to Richard Baddeley, from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and Joe Irvin, Chief Executive of Living Streets. First broadcast on You & Yours, 24 July 2017.
