Mudslides and torrential flooding have killed more than 300 people in and around Sierra Leone's capital Freetown following heavy rains. The tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday morning. Many victims were trapped in their homes buried under tons of mud. Vice-President Victor Bockarie Foh visited the site where he spoke to Focus on Africa's Umaru Fofana and described the situation as 'an emergency'.
