Since the 1960s Maplewell Hall in Woodhouse Eaves, has been run as a school for young people with learning disabilities. As well as the day term activities, children can stay overnight, to help them learn how to live independently. But a consultation is underway, which could mean that that residential facility is closed down, saving the council some 293 thousand pounds each year...
