Indus

Available for over a year

Tributes are paid to the famous Indian revolutionary Bhagat Singh on his one-hundred-and-tenth anniversary birth anniversary. He was convicted of involvement in a bomb attack on India's parliament, and the murder of a police officer, for which he was hanged in 1931 at the age of just 23. The current Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his greatness and courage inspires generations of Indians. Dr Subir Sinha is a Senior Lecturer in International Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, and talks about his legacy in this extract from a longer interview with Â鶹Éç presenter Talat Farooq Awan.
