The Deccan Queen train line pre-dates the modern state of India. It snakes down from Pune in the hills to Mumbai on the coast. Â鶹Éç Marathi's Mayuresh Konnur has travelled the route many times, through jungle and clouds, and is a bit of a fan of the train’s unique dining car, which still serves the original British menu of omelettes, cutlets and baked beans.
