In tourist hot-spots it’s claimed that Air Bnb has made it so easy to rent to visitors that locals are being squeezed out. Now the Open Data Institute is looking to find information to test what impact Air Bnb and other peer-to-peer rental sites have had on local communities in the U.K. The University of Sydney published some research in early 2017 about what the impact of Air Bnb has been on local communities in Sydney.
