Witnessing an earthquake from the skies

Outlook

Available for over a year

Priya Adhikari is a helicopter pilot, in fact, she says she's the first woman in Nepal to captain a helicopter at high altitude. And the view she most often sees from her window is that of the Himalayas and the world's tallest mountain, Everest. Priya hadn't planned to be a pilot, she'd been studying to be a doctor when she had to give it up and return home to help with the family finances. She got work as cabin crew for an airline in Nepal and that was the beginning of her love affair with flight. She told Jo Fidgen her story.
