Dr Muhammad Yunus was awarded the Nobel Peace Price 11 years ago for his pioneering work in micro-finance. Initially in his home country of Bangladesh, the concept of lending to the un-banked to alleviate poverty spread around the world. But in recent years, micro-finance has become more controversial, some might even say discredited. Speaking to Dr Yunus about his new book, A World of Three Zeroes: The New Economics of Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment, and Zero Carbon Emissions, Fergus Nicoll asked him whether he still stands by his founding principles.
