Since we voted to leave the E.U. the grocery price comparison website My Supermarket has been trying to track the changes in prices of food. My Supermarket prices a basket of 35 essential items each month. The basket includes things like tomatoes, avocados, apples, butter, loo paper… The basket tends to cost on average around £80, but in October the cost of the 35 items went up by £5 to more than £85.
