Can we keep back-up copies of endangered animals?

CrowdScience

Available for over a year

The Frozen Ark at Nottingham University, UK, is freezing cells from endangered animals to help stop extinction. Since retiring in the year 2000, Dr Ann Clarke has worked tirelessly to build up the animals represented in the Ark. With more advanced technology, she hopes future scientists can use this back-up to revive extinct animals. (Image: Dr Ann Clarke, Credit: Â鶹Éç.)
