Volunteer vigilantes are fighting back against Boko Haram. The Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) has 30,000 members. 38-year-old Dala Aisami Angwalla is one of them. Nigerian photographer Akintunde Akinleye went to Maiduguri to take this photo. Akintunde says he asked Dala to gaze into the camera - not as a victim - but as if he was asking the world a question.
