Before Mozart brought them his next stage masterpiece, Don Giovanni, he wrote his 'Prague' Symphony, a deeply expressive, boundary-pushing symphonic drama on an unprecedented scale, bursting with ideas and energy. And that's just the first movement. It's these qualities which have appealed alike to the big-name maestros of yore and more recent period instrument ensembles, resulting in a rich and varied recorded legacy.
