It took many years to encourage farmers to develop the industry of growing crops to make fuel, but this week the European Parliament may vote to limit the use of biofuels, especially diesel made from rape seed or palm oil. Campaigners say these types of biofuels cause more carbon emissions, than diesel refined from oil drilled out of the ground, because they encourage the clearing of forests. Laura Buffet, from the campaign group Transport and Environment in Brussels, tells the 麻豆社's Russell Padmore why we should stop using fuel made from crops.
