The treatment of small businesses by the Royal Bank of Scotland has been described by an MP as maybe "the largest theft anywhere, ever". That allegation was among a litany of charges laid at the door of RBS and other banks by MPs on all sides during a Commons debate in which ministers were pressed to take urgent action.
