Peers have called for major changes to the Government's EU Withdrawal Bill to make it "fit for purpose". Those demands came on the second day of debate in the House of Lords on the legislation which will transfer all European Union law into UK domestic law on the day after Brexit. And as Simon Jones reports opinions were sharply divided over calls for a second referendum on any final departure agreement with the EU.
