The US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, who had just returned home from an official state tour of five African nations, is out of a job. He was fired by President Trump and will be replaced by the CIA director, Mike Pompeo. While in Africa, he met with heads of state and the African Union, and spoke on several occasions to stress America's commitment to the continent, as these excerpts show.
