The term BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) or BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) has come under scrutiny after ex-cabinet minister Priti Patel said she didn't like the term BME because she was British first and foremost through birthright. The bLack of Respect Campaign want everyone to be described by heritage, not by their colour.
