Commons bar serves up Baroness Bacon beer

Today in Parliament

Available for over a year

Alice Bacon was one of the pioneering generation of Labour women MPs elected in 1945 and the first woman to represent a Leeds constituency. Rachel Reeves, who became the city’s second woman MP in 2010, has brought the specially commissioned Baroness Bacon beer to the Commons Strangers Bar this week. She spoke to parliamentary correspondent Mark D’Arcy - from behind the bar. You can hear more from Mark D'Arcy on the Friday edition of Today in Parliament at 11.30pm on Radio 4.
