Ethiopia-Eritrea flights will be 'a very strong bridge connecting families'

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Eritrea and Ethiopia have re-established diplomatic and trade relations following the signing of a landmark peace deal that ended two decades of mistrust and a border war that led to the death of tens of thousands of people. Over the next few days bus services between the two countries will resume while Ethiopian Airlines will next week operate its first commercial flight to Asmara since the war broke out in 1998.
