Bryce Dessner's Sound of the Week comes from the Txalaparta, a unique wooden instrument closely associated with Basque cider-production. The composer and guitarist for indie-rock band The National talked to Hear & Now about how the Txalaparta has inspired his work, including his new Concerto for Two Pianos which was premiered by the Labeque Sisters and the London Philharmonic Orchestra in April 2018.
