The newly elected MP for the Arua municipality in north west Uganda, Kassiano Wadri, has been talking about his treatment while being held by the army. Mr Wadri won the recent by-election but was arrested along with other opposition politicians including the musician-turned-MP, Bobi Wine on the eve of the controversial poll after President Yoweri Museveni's motrorcade was attacked with stones. The detainees were moved from police cells to the prison and were charged with treason but released on bail. Mr Wadri told Focus on Africa's Paul Bakibinga about the poor conditions in which they were held and how they were badly treated. (Photo: Ugandan MPs Kassiano Wadri [L] with Bobi Wine [R].
