Jum Gurung ‘JB’ served 22 and a half years in service for the British Army. For his time and sacrifice, he was awarded a medal for long service and good conduct - one of his fondest memories. Despite fighting for the British Army, ex-Gurhkas were not allowed to settle in the UK until 2009.
