German Calendar No December is a coming-of-age and identity story. Olivia, the main character, faces trials and tribulations in boarding school in Nigeria then challenges as a mixed-race woman in Germany. It's a poignant, but often humorous story. The author of the graphic novel, Sylvia Ofili, is of Nigerian and Hungarian descent. She currently teaches in Sweden. So is the book autobiographical? She joined Focus on Africa’s Bola Mosuro from a studio in Stockholm.
