Could an autonomous vehicle really 'think' like a human?

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Will we all abandon our cars in favour of self-driving taxi apps by the year 2030, or is this pure fantasy? Gary Marcus, professor of psychology at NYU thinks it's possible, even after a number of self-driving Teslas drove into fire trucks, which were stopped on highways. But, he says getting autonomous vehicles to deal with hazards like bad weather or seeing a skateboarder on the street, as a human would, is complex.
