The residents of the Afghan village of Qezelabad have taken recycling to a new level. It’s a small settlement on the outskirts of Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan, and in 1979 when the Soviets invaded, they stored their ground-to-air missiles nearby. When they left 10 years later, those BM21 rockets were abandoned. So what to do with them? Shoaib Sharifi from Â鶹Éç Pashto visited the village to find out – and the answer was alarming.
